One of my favourite Disney movies of all time is Pochantas. It is a beautiful story of how the English man, John Smith, sets sail to discover a new world where he could be faced with new challenges and new excitement. Of course the Disney film is a bit different compared to the real history behind it, because in the history books we find that Pochantas was only a young girl when she met John Smith, so there wasn't any real romance going on between them. However, it doesn't stop me from loving the movie, and I thought there were a lot of lessons that could be learned from it.
These days it is not exactly a common thing to really go out and about in order to discover new land or set sail for worlds unknown. With technology these days, travel is so much is faster because of airplanes and faster ships. Cars have taken the place of horse drawn carriages or other animals. And now the internet has really made communication so much faster than ever before. Emails and chat messages have taken the place of snail mail or telegrams and so on.
